my mom had direct deposit of her social security,on jan.2,2014 the greendot website showed her $1000 pending, but since it was New Years weekend the representative said it would not be available until monday,jan,5,2015,well the pending transaction disappeared by monday, and greendot tried to say her retirement was actually her social security and that they advanced it to her on Dec,30,2014.When my mom went to the social security dept and got a letter proving that her money was put into her account by them on jan,2,2015,the greendot thieves put a block on her card, they said because of suspicious transactions,(they stole her money and she could prove it)now she can not even access past transactions. And these *** still have her money, and the block on the card prevented her from getting her retirement also,so now she is facing eviction because of these online crooks,at her age and health condition i dont know how much more she can take,as of this month(feb,2015) they have stolen $4500.00 in retirement and social security and refuse to even listen to reason.SO COUNT MY MOM IN on any lawsuit that can put a stop to these stealing ***. i can be contacted at bevbartl@***.com

I have a relative who receives SSI disability income on a greendot card. This relative is pretty good at losing things and has lost more than one greendot card.

It was very easy to get either a check or to transfer the Social Security payments to another card/account/receive a check in the mail. It is unwise to continue to allow money to continue to be funneled to a card that can't be used.
